Nic Howard
 

Nic Howard originally hails from Mississippi, where he was born. When he was 11 years old, he became involved in reining, thanks in part to his family's involvement with the sport. In 1998 he entered the NRHA show ring as a rookie rider, and by 1999 the young rider had claimed the Rocky Mountain Reining Horse Association Rookie Championship. That title allowed Nic to represent the Mountain Region at the prestigious 1999 NRHA Rookie Finals, where he won the Reserve Championship. In 2000, Nic was the RMRHA top Youth rider. Then in 2002 and 2003, he won back to back MSRHA Youth year end Championships. Today, Nic is an assistant trainer at McQuay Stables, where he is a valued McQuay Stables team member. Nic was recently married June 17th to Courtney Lowe.
