Tim McQuay Wins Southwest Reining Horse Association Futurity Reserve Title
It was a special kind of déjà vu for All Time Leading Reiner,
Tim McQuay, during the Southwest Reining Horse Association Futurity October 28-30.
McQuay rode Hollywood Downtown to a score of 221.5, good for the Southwest Reining Horse Futurity Reserve Championship. Just a year ago, he rode that gelding’s full sister, Dun It In Tinseltown, to the same finish.
Both horses are by $3 Million Sire Hollywood Dun It and out of National Reining Breeders Classic Champion Miss Tinseltown, and both are owned by David Silva of Tolland, Connecticut.

McQuay also scored 220.5 on another entry, Sorcerers Apprentice, good for a three-way tie for 3rd in the Futurity. “He’s been fun. I enjoy training him,” said McQuay of the sorrel stallion. “Between both horses, I think we have a shot at doing well at the big futurity!” Sorcerers Apprentice, by Gunner and out of GS Anniegityergun, is owned by Tim and Colleen McQuay.
At the NRHA Futurity, McQuay will also be riding Dillon Dunit Again (Hollywood Dun It X Rosalie Dillon) owned by Mike Simmons, MMCO Corporation.
