Dun It Got Lucky tops Derby sale

A 2-year-old daughter of Hollywood Dun It was the high-seller of the 2006 NRHA Derby Spotlight Sale on May 20.  Dun It Got Lucky, consigned to the sale by Sally Broten Horse Company, brought a $54,000 bid from Roxanne Koepsell.
Dun It Got Lucky is a buckskin filly out of Sally Broten's mare, My Lucky Moonstone (Topsail Whiz's highest-earning daughter who garnered most of her $42,505 in earnings with Broten in the saddle).  Koepsell's new filly is also a granddaughter of one of the NRHA's All-Time Leading Dams, My Moon Stone Chex (by King Fritz).  Dun It Got Lucky has been nominated to the NRBC and CRBC and is eligible for the Gordyville Breeders Cup.  She's currently in training with Nettie Baker.
Dun Dazzled Whiz, a 3-year-old mare by Topsail Whiz and out of Dun It Okie Style (by Hollywood Dun It), brought a  $27,000 bid from Dell and Terri Hendricks, the second highest of the day.  Consigned by Mantanna South LLC, Dun Dazzled Whiz is a 2006 NRHA Futurity prospect in training with Casey Hinton and Tanya Jenkins.  She's also eligible for the NRBC.
Of the 61 horses consigned to this year's sale, 58 passed through the ring and 53 sold for $423,300 and an average sale price of $7,987.
